Toucher terre is composed like a true artist’s book in a single sequence of images. A text by the artist Christian Bonnefoi is printed in a separate booklet inserted into the book. From the first page, the reader enters a world of photography, images reproduced in very large format, and encounters characters seemingly from a mythological epic, captured in gestures and postures describing them in moments of gravity or grace, amidst spaces always imbued, even if strangely familiar to us, with a sense of elsewhere.
