Raphaëlle Peria
Artiste
Née en 1989, Raphaëlle Peria vit et travaille à Paris. Finaliste du Prix Révélations Emerige 2015, elle participe à l’exposition « Empiristes » sous le commissariat de Gaël Charbau. « Marinus Asiaticus », sa première exposition personnelle, est organisée en septembre 2017 par la Galerie Papillon. Elle est lauréate du Prix Artistique Fénéon et de la 8e édition du Prix Science-Po pour l’Art Contemporain.
En 2019 son projet Hopea Odorata est présenté au Salon Drawing Now. En 2021, son projet Aridatis et Inundatio, réalisé en Argentine et soutenu par la DRAC des Hauts-de-France est présenté à l’Aparté, centre d’Art Contemporain de Montfort-sur-Meu suite à une résidence sur place. Elle participe à l’exposition « Blooming » au Domaine de Pommery à Reims. En 2022, elle est sélectionnée
pour le programme de résidence Tremplin au Frac Picardie. En 2024, sous le commissariat de Fanny Robin, elle réalise deux expositions personnelles au musée Michel Ciry de Varengeville sur Mer dans le cadre de Normandie Impressioniste et à la Fondation Bullukian à Lyon. Elle est la lauréate du programme de mécénat BMW Art Makers 2025 dédié aux arts visuels et à l’image contemporaine. Raphaëlle Peria est représentée par la Galerie Papillon, Paris.

Raphaëlle Peria uses photography as a medium to carry out work in the field of drawing. For some years, she has been developing a scratching technique which she uses to make new forms appear and reveal the elements of photography that are most evocative of the subject she is approaching. Landscapes, natural elements and ecosystems are at the heart of her artistic approach and are starting points for her travels during which she takes her shots. By selecting fragments of the image, those kept as they are, she creates changes in scale and plays with different textures, a photographic materiality that has become her own style, textures produced by her technique refined over time. These games of metamorphoses bring forth new worlds. His works here make up an environment that is both fragile and fascinating.
