Le moindre souffle

Sandra Rocha / João Pinharanda

Sandra Rocha drew inspiration from Ovid’s Metamorphoses for the conception and selection of photographs for this book. While the classic author sets out the entirety of the myths in which humans or gods transform into other natural beings, Sandra Rocha captures the animal, vegetable and mineral worlds and relates them to each other in a cosmogonic way, which allows her to question how live beings can interact with one another while being intrinsically linked to the whole, like in a new Eden.

La vie immédiate

Sandra Rocha

Life as we know it springs from the confluence of two great rivers: the Marne and the Seine. Sandra Rocha let herself be carried along by the current and shared her journey with teenagers who had just awakened to the fleeting nature of time. Together, they explored their innermost feelings, so profound they were almost beyond words. This publication thus appears as their diary, composed of their own texts, collages, and photographs that question the paradoxes of age, between the passion to burn one's life and the passion to build it.

This work is conceived as a true artist's book, orchestrated with the collaboration of graphic designer José Albergaria (Change is good).

Le Silence des sirènes

Sandra Rocha / Michel Poivert

“Sandra Rocha’s book seems to breathe in this way; the defeat of seduction stems from a crisis of images, immediately conveyed by the artificial landscapes of wallpaper. Then opens the world after, a world of images that speak of desire without seducing. Women artists possess this genius for interiority, for the fundamental experience of feeling an inner body and being able to express this world. It will therefore be a question here of liquid, of floating, and of illusion; this book is a nocturnal bath from which resonates the stifled song of the sirens.” Michel Poivert
